Corporation-owned and operated, Sunny Day Care has been offering a fun, educational and home-feeling environment to children in the area for over 20 years. Our caring, loving, and resourceful staff understand all your child's needs in their early childhood, and are dedicated to maximizing their learning potentials and helping them to develop the essential social, cognitive, language, self-exploring skills, confidence, and independence for their future success at school.
Established in 1997, Sunny Day Care is fully licensed by Ontario Ministry of Education and maintaining Service Agreement with the Region of Waterloo for providing subsidized childcare. We are an active participant of all quality initiative programs organized by the governments, like Early Years Engage, to enhance the program quality. Seasonal inspections are conducted by local Public Health Unit and Fire Department to ensure a safe environment for children at all times. Meanwhile, our teachers work closely with regional early learning workers and child development consultants to explore and maximize the learning potentials of individual children.
All our teachers are registered with the College of Early Childhood Educators of Ontario and certified First Aid providers. They participate in continuous learning programs to enhance their qualification and quality of care. All programs are planed and executed by our qualified staff under the guidance of "How Does Learning Happen (HDLH)?",Ontario’s Pedagogy for the early years, and by complying with the provisions set out in the Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014 (CCEYA).
On March 28, 2022, Ontario reached an agreement with the federal government on funding for the Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care (CWELCC) plan. The plan will lower child care costs and improve access, and quality across Ontario’s child care and early years sector. Starting November 2022, we are proud to be a participant of CWELCC and have been offering fee reductions for all age groups. For more information about the CWELCC and the reduction of parent fees and rebates please see the Region’s website or contact our office.
